Why have there been so many food recalls?

Why have we had so many food recalls & a Cyclospora outbreak 644 times the average? The CDC and FDA had massive budget cuts, almost 25% staffing reductions, & direct discontinuation of foodborne pathogen testing, for things like Cyclospora. Please remember who passed these massive cuts when you’re thinking about the midterms.
