Back in 2016, a research team led by Matjaž Gregorič, witnessed male bark spiders performing oral sex on female bark spiders to seemingly “stay alive” and stop female bark spiders from eating them after sex

And they don’t just do it once, scientists witnessed male bark spiders perform fellatio up to 100 TIMES y’all! 👀 suggesting this was more than just staying alive but a way to show their fitness as a mate
