Ten years separate these two photos. The first was taken on my last day of a 26-year corporate career. I smiled for the picture but inside, I was terrified.

I wasn’t leaving because I had everything figured out. I was leaving because I finally gave myself permission to admit the life I’d built no longer felt like mine.
