Can we regulate deepfakes?

Ai generated content is getting harder & harder to detect. And we’ve done nothing to apply even the most basic regulations to ai generated content. There is no simple solution that will fix all of the problems, but we can pass regulations that would increase the difficulty to create fake media, and reduce the amount of it being created.
